ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ഫോസില്‍ ഇന്ധനങ്ങളുടെ ദൌര്‍ലഭ്യവും ഹ്രസ്വ-ദീര്‍ഘകാല ആവശ്യങ്ങള്‍ക്കായി ആണവവൈദ്യുതിയെ പ്രയോജനപ്പെടുത്തേണ്ടതിന്റെ ആവശ്യകതയും ആരംഭത്തിലേ തന്നെ നാം മനസിലാക്കിയിരുന്നു. ഇതിനായി വളരെ നേരത്തേ തന്നെ ഹോമീ ജെ ഭാഭ മൂന്നു ഘട്ടമായുള്ള നമ്മുടെ ദീര്‍ഘകാല ആണവോര്‍ജ്ജ ഉത്പാദന പരിപാടി രൂപകല്പന ചെയ്തു. ഊര്‍ജ്ജ സ്വയം പര്യാപ്തതയും നമുക്കു ധാരാളമായുള്ള തോറിയത്തിന്റെ ഉപയോഗവുമാണ് ഈ പദ്ധതിയുടെ ദീര്‍ഘകാല ലക്ഷ്യങ്ങള്‍.
ഒന്നാം ഘട്ടം : പ്രകൃതിദത്ത യുറേനിയം ഇന്ധനമായി ഉപയോഗിയ്ക്കുന്ന Heavy Water Moderated റീയാക്ടറുകളുടെയും Cooled Pressurised Heavy Water റിയാക്ടറുകളുടേയും(PHWRs) നിര്‍മ്മാണം. രണ്ടാം ഘട്ടത്തിന് ആവശ്യമാ‍യിട്ടൂള്ള പ്ലൂട്ടോണിയം റിയാക്ടറിന്റെ ഉന്ധനമായ യുറേനിയത്തില്‍ നിന്നും ഉണ്ടാക്കുക.
രണ്ടാം ഘട്ടം : ഒന്നാംഘട്ടത്തില്‍ ഉത്പാദിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടൂള്ള പ്ലൂട്ടോണീയം ഇന്ധനമായി ഉപയോഗിയ്ക്കുന്ന ഫാസ്റ്റ് ബ്രീഡര്‍ റിയാക്ടറുകളുടെ നിര്‍മ്മാണം, ഈ റിയാക്ടറുകള്‍ ഉപയോഗിച്ച് തോറീയത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് U-233 എന്ന യൂറേനിയം ഐസോടോപ്പ് ഉണ്ടാക്കുക.
മൂന്നാം ഘട്ടം : U-233 യും Thorium ഉം ഇന്ധനമായി ഉപയോഗിയ്ക്കുന്ന റിയാക്ടറുകള്‍.

ഇന്ത്യയില്‍ യൂറേനിയം നിക്ഷേപം പരിമിതവും തോറിയം സുലഭവുമാണ്. യൂറേനിയത്തിന്റെ U-233 എന്ന ഐസോട്ടോപ്പ് ആണ് ന്യൂക്ലിയര്‍ ഫിഷന് ഉപയോഗിയ്ക്കുന്നത് . മൂന്നാം ഘട്ടത്തില്‍, രണ്ടാംഘട്ടത്തില്‍ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയെടുത്ത U-233 ന്റെയും തോറിയത്തിന്റെയും മിശ്രിതമാണ് ഇന്ധനമായി ഉപയോഗിയ്ക്കാനായാല്‍ U-233 ഊര്‍ജ്ജം ഉത്പാദിപ്പിയ്ക്കുന്നതോടോപ്പം തോറിയത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് U-233 ഉണ്ടാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

It is a pity that people react vehemently to post regarding caste religion etc. Why don't they react to this one? Why don't they spend their time on some thing which could improve their life? They are interested in residing in false castles of their caste or religious pride which caters to their week minds from which they derive their confidence to face the world. You guys are avert to science, economic and real issues.
Thats why you mallus don't prodper in life more than than a salaried employee..For petty politics and religion you are pledging your thinking power. Why don't you discuss science engineering and finance?
